More great formations at San Francisco
Videograph by Rich Torkington in Cozumel 2003
Dive Journal: It’s a Friday on Cozumel, and we’ve decided to do more diving! We start the day again with the Casa del Mar continental breakfast, and we’re liking this morning routine pretty much. All we have to do is saunter over the foot bridge to the conrete pier in front of the hotel, and the Shamu picks us up carrying all our clean gear, ready to go. What more could any diver ask for?

This morning all four of us plus Ron and Santiago head to the site called San Francisco. This is a stunning site with a true vertical wall in relatively shallow waters. There is an unbelievable variety of sea life and colors here, and we also enjoy a medium current today. Very beautiful – a great first dive today.

Something is curiously wrong with my video rig this morning. The zoom-in button works, but the image then immediately de-zooms on its own. After the dive I goof around with this for a while in vain, even opening the housing and making sure the connections are secure.
