Dive Journal: The next morning takes us back to Turtle Gardens and it is John’s second sport dive. I am pleased to see John overcome his experience yesterday and get right back in the water. Linda is John’s buddy today, so I’ve brought along the video camera to get some good shots of him.

Another typically beautiful Salt Cay dive, but this one relatively unremarkable. We looked for the big turtle again but saw no sign. Heading north from the mooring, we find a slumbering nurse shark in a large crevice on the wall. Otherwise, there is not too much fish life this morning. A very beautiful spotfin butterflyfish entertained us on one spot, and another stunning school of goatfish happened by near the end of the dive. I caught a little bit of video of a butter hamlet. There were also streaming schools of creole wrasses which are always a treat.

John is great this dive – no problems with equipment, ears, or stings! This was the last dive for the Michigan clan – we have enjoyed diving with them. Janel relaxed at our house this morning.
